Do you ever get sick of the question...How are you ever going to afford x(insert # here) kids. AHHH...I dont know how exactly can you "afford" your little brats 1,000 a month toy habit? ERRR. AM I the only one that gets this? I notice it most from the people that spoil there children with ridiculous amounts of toys, clothes, and whatever else little jr desires.

How do you celebrate new years eve with your kids??? We usually celebrate at noon since our kids are still little? We dont do much, just make some fun food and do a count down. Do any of you do anything special?

This is one I have not made in a while, but I LOVE the taste of it...

Beef and Bean Round Up

1 1/2 lbs ground beef
1/4 cup chopped onions (or 1 Tbsp. Instant minced onion)
1 cup barbecue sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 can baked beans (with molasses)
1 can flaky refrigerated biscuits
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1. Heat oven to 375-- degrees.
2. In skillet, brown ground beef and onion; drain.
3. Stir in barbecue sauce, ketchup, brown sugar and beans.
4. Heat until bubbly.
5. Pour into 2 ½ quart casserole.
6. Separate canned dough into 10 biscuits then cut each biscuit in half crosswise.
7. Place biscuits cut side down over hot meat mixture around edge of casserole. (like flower petals)don't put in center or they will not cook properly.
8. Sprinkle cheese over biscuits and over top of meat/bean mixture.
9. Bake at 375 degrees for 22 to 27 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.

OH OH OH! THIS Site rocks! This lady is a mother of three, married to a naval officer. She has great recipes, tips for budgeting and 12 monthly menus!!!! :)

My kids Love Taco "pie"

Take a pie plate (you might need to make two of these if you have teenagers)
Line the bottom with soft tortilla shells. (all the way up the sides.)
Then add a Layer meat, cheese, (optional...beans, onions, green pepper, ect.)
Another layer of tortilla shells, then the meat and cheese layer until it's full.
the top layer should be tortilla shells.

Then bake for 20 minutes on 325. Take out and top with your favorite taco toppings. YUM.

I just realized I really never did intro myself. Oh dear forgive my idiotic tendencies... they are harmless, but not annoyance free, I fear!

Anyway, I am Anna, and I think this is a great place! I have been poking around and It's nice to have company with other families like ours!

And I love the snarky remarks in the title and name of the journal. TOTALLY COOL!

I am married to Brett. We are so different as a couple, you guys would die laughing at us. He's a manager at Hot Topic and into all that craziness... he would have tons of tats and weirdo piercings if he wasn't married to me. He LOVES music and movies- whereas I like my stuff not so crazy and a movie irritates me if it sucks because it's taken 2 hours of my life away that I won't get back!! I'm BNL (Barenaked Ladies) and he is ICP (Insane Clown Posse). I dress CJ Banks, he dresses Hot Topic. LOL! We met when I was 14 and he was 19 at a concert. His friend was the lead singer in the band I went to go see. When I was 17, I introduced him to my mom and she adored him. They used to sit and make fun of the re-enactments on Rescue 911 the sick-os!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, when I was 19 and 2 weeks after high school graduation I found out I was pregnant. I was signed up to go to college to study nuclear medical tech. (Fancy term for in-depth X-rays). I went one semester. We got our first apt. and had Taylor. The hospital was horrible to single parents at the time, and even though we were engaged found all sorts of ways to make life difficult so I came home and he literally threw a calendar at me and said PICK A DATE NOW. So we planned our wedding from March to August. (We call it the redneck wedding... no OFFENSE INTENDED! we did our own DJing, we served chicken wings and had cheap keg beer.)

Anywho... that was 12 1/2 years ago almost. We now own our own home which we are remodeling and have 4 more kids. 4 sons- Taylor who is almost *GASP* 13, Robert who is 11, Aaron who is 7 and Alexander who is 1, and the Princess Diva- Bailey Rose who is 3. We also have 2 cats and one dog. (people dump off unwanted pets in our parks, our rangers pick them up and they find a home with us sometimes... the maternal thing doesn't stop with kids, I guess!)

I like cooking, baking, true crime (I would be doing autopsies if I could), Barenaked Ladies, Law and Order on the TV and I am junk food junkie, as much as I hate to admit it. I am also addicted to Sims2. I work full time for my city government as an account clerk for the street division. I love my job but hate working. If I could be home I would in a heartbeat!!!!!

so that's me...feel free to ask questions. Yup that's the kiddos in the horribly outdated icon. My best friend made it for me, I don't have a clue how to do it... so she will *hopefully* update it soon?!

Anyway, this place rocks! I've loved it here so far!!! :)
